Author Guidelines

As a general mathematics journal, Acta et Commentationes Universitatis Tartuensis de Mathematica publishes original research papers in pure and applied mathematics. Submission of a paper acknowledges that the paper has not been published nor submitted for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts have to be presented in well written English and as a rule should not exceed 25 pages. Manuscripts, concerning content, must be in their final form, submitted as pdf-files.  Standard submission takes place through the electronic submission system. If difficulties are encountered, then the manuscripts can be sent to Managing Editor by e-mail.

Structure of a manuscript:

  • Title of the paper
  • Name(s) of the author(s) which should be written in alphabetical order of surnames (it is possible to indicate the corresponding author)
  • Abstract (not exceeding 13 lines) which can be read independently of the paper (references and long formulae in the abstract should be avoided)
  • Text of the paper
  • References (should be listed in alphabetical order of surnames; abbreviations of journal names should follow Mathematical Reviews)
  • Complete address of each author and the e-mail address

The manuscript should also contain the 2020 Mathematics Subject Classification  and keywords.

The publisher requires submission of manuscripts written in LATEX (AMS document class). After a paper has been accepted, the author must prepare the final TEX file using  the template .  Both the final TEX and the PDF files should be uploaded in the submission system, or sent by e-mail  to the Managing Editor.

There are no page charges and the author(s) will be provided with a reprint of the published article in printable PDF form via e-mail, free of charge.

Acta et Commentationes Universitatis Tartuensis de Mathematica does not handle simultaneously several submissions from one author.
